From Entrepreneur to Curl Expert

My name is Jacquelina, founder of Amazing Curls.

After over 30 years of entrepreneurship in various sectors—from advertising and real estate to recreation—my curly journey began when I noticed my hair was losing its bounce. Excessive bleaching and the wrong products had damaged my curls.

My search for a solution led me to the Curly Girl Method. What followed? An intensive learning process filled with trial and error, and frustration. From misleading marketing to closets full of bad purchases—I've experienced it all.

That's exactly why I started Amazing Curls: to make it simple, effective, and honest. For curly-haired people who don't have the time (or space) for 14 products, but still want to get the most out of their hair.

How it started

In 2019, I sold my company and launched CGproducten.nl – a transparent webshop featuring only CG-approved products. No vague claims, just clear ingredients, honest choices, and international brands not yet available in the Netherlands. We built a community of customers and influencers who shared the same frustrations and passion for curls.

The first product

In 2020, the idea for something revolutionary was born: Protein Drops. Why would you need a cupboard full of products when you can simply add protein to your favorite moisture product?

During the development of these unique drops I decided to sell CG Products.

It became too big, and I deliberately didn't want to hire any staff. In May 2021, Consumedix acquired the company, and in June 2021, we launched the world's first Protein Drops.

At the same time as the launch of our Protein Drops, the idea for our own moisture line arose.

We have been listening to our customers and their questions for years
formed the basis of everything:

"Which products really suit my hair type?"

"Why do I need so many products?"

"I want less hassle and fewer bottles in my bathroom."

Amazing Curls was developed from those frustrations and our
Personal experience: a compact line with high-quality ingredients, packaged in luxurious airless bottles for optimal effectiveness and hygiene.

No copy-pasting of existing formulas, but unique, creative product development – cleverly designed to do exactly what your curls need in combination with the Protein Drops.

In early 2023, the time had come: Amazing Curls went live – see the result alongside. We've already been busy tweaking it, because a perfect product is never truly "finished."
